Mentor Coaching

Meet your ICF requirement.
Leave a stronger coach.

Most coaches come to mentor coaching because ICF requires it. That's a good reason to start. What keeps them engaged, and what they consistently say afterward, is that the work moved them beyond "Am I doing this right?" and toward grounded confidence in their coaching.

Margo Boster brings something most mentor coaches can't: she is both an ICF Master Certified Coach and a credentialed ICF Assessor. She knows exactly what ICF evaluates at each credential level because she's the one doing the evaluating. That assessor lens — applied with direct, compassionate feedback — is what makes this program different from checking a box.

Who this is for

This program is built for you if —

You're due for ICF credential renewal

ICF requires mentor coaching as part of the credential renewal cycle. If your ACC or PCC renewal is coming up, this program fulfills that requirement and gives you more than a checkbox. The group format means you'll learn from hearing other coaches receive feedback, not just from receiving it yourself.

You're leveling up to the next credential

Moving from ACC to PCC, or PCC toward MCC, requires a demonstrable shift in coaching sophistication, not just more hours. Mentor coaching with an MCC assessor gives you a precise read on where you are relative to the next level and what specific work will close that gap.

You lead a team of coaches or a coaching program

Group enrollment is available for coaching program directors and organizations managing multiple coaches. Sending coaches through the same cohort builds a shared language around ICF competencies and creates consistency in how your coaches develop and assess their own work.

The assessor advantage

Why it matters who mentors you

Not all mentor coaches are the same. The ICF MCC credential is held by fewer than 4% of coaches worldwide. Fewer still hold an assessor credential, meaning they have been trained and approved by ICF to evaluate coaches at the credentialing level.

When Margo gives feedback on your coaching, she is giving you the same lens ICF uses to evaluate credential applications. The written feedback she provides mirrors how assessors listen — without pass/fail language, but grounded in the same standards. You are not guessing at what "meets the bar" looks like. You are hearing it directly from someone who applies that standard professionally.

That's the difference between mentor coaching that fulfills a requirement and mentor coaching that actually prepares you.

"Margo's mentor coaching program is a valuable experience that will not only provide what you need for the mentor coaching requirement but, more importantly, reinforce good coaching techniques and ground you in ICF competencies. This program is raising my level of consciousness about best practices, and it is a really good reminder. The price and time commitment are both reasonable and accessible."
